May K. Portrait

An anthropomorphic character from one of the stories in my speculative-fiction canon Epiverse

Newest

All sorts of artwork and otherwise. I'm sort of a jack of all trades; I have done character and technical design, writing, graphic design. Most of my work is conceptual in nature, and much of it is related to a fictional universe I am in the process of creating - referred to as "Epiverse"

This morning, my dad and I drove down to Broadway to a little European dealership. That evening, I came home to my very own 1998 Saab 900.

I may miss my 89 accord for being such a faithful little bugger for the past 5 years despite being as old as I am, but damned if it doesn't feel great to drive such an awesome car and actually own it myself, fully.

I would post some of the finished artwork I have scanned/photos of but I really must get some work done for class tomorrow and then go to bed.

It's been a sort of hectic past week and a half, what with me driving my mom's jeep and dad's truck alternatively because the accord's tires are practically ruined (they were the same tires it had when we got it 5 years ago, and are in just terrible shape). One of them is basically flat, it won't hold air overnight. And it's starting to break down in general. My parents were planning on helping me get a new car - the last they would pay for, that will last me out of college - so this ended up accelerating that profoundly enough that in basically the past week's time we scoped out a car and bought it today, Monday. Took it for a couple hours drive around town and have really begun to fall in love with it. I'm extremely happy with it, not only is it in superb shape but it has had good, routine maintenance with a lot of recent part replacements. We got it at just at little above the estimated value of that year and model, but so far it seems totally worth it. The dealer has been super-friendly and is helping us make sure everything is working just fine.

Now that I have a working car of my own again it's on to the final weeks of this semester, and then the best winter break in the history of winter breaks; plan on chilling for a few weeks, then heading out east to Kansas City to meet up with ~CabooseRIF for the funtimes, and driving him back to Colorado for skiing.

Life is starting to really unfold before me, and I'm excited.
