Description
A joint design project between Frontrange and the Calur Confederacy led to the development of the M5, whose purpose was to cheaply and quickly field a minimum level of armored support to armies in need. It is a common sight in Calur as part of the Municipalities' peacekeeping forces.
Crewed by four, her armament consists of a 60mm cannon, equally suitable for armor-piercing or high-explosive rounds (though lacking in long range accuracy due to short length), as well as several general purpose machine guns. Compared to the Koshyan Type 34, it is lighter and has better off-road performance, but the hull is lacking in armor protection, as well the Type 34 has a much more effective main gun when fighting other armored vehicles.
During its service, the Shepard has become a symbol of the Confederacy's stability, patrolling across arid plateaus and desert sands alike with ease.
